Move Sections

Step 1

After you have created a number of sections, you may decide you want to move them around.

To do this, you must first make sure you are in the Add/Edit tab for sections.

Step 2

To move a section, hover your cursor over that section until you see white crossbars. Click and hold down, then move your cursor to the left or the right, depending on where you want to move the section. A red-dotted box will appear. Once your section is in the center of this slot, you can release your mouse.

Does Order Matter?

In most ePortfolios, absolutely! Think about the sequence of information you want your reader to experience as he/she looks at your work.

For example, if you're doing an ePortfolio about making a pizza, you might want to show a section on making the dough BEFORE you show a section on cooking procedures.

If you aren't sure if your order of sections makes logical sense, ask your instructor, a Writing Center Tutor, or even a friend to give you some quick feedback.
