Consistency means that your Aportfolio as a whole has a look and feel that is reilable. Some things that help with consistency are:
- Sticking to a color palette
- Organizing your content in a predictable way
- Using the same font styles consistently
Consistency not only helps your Aportfolio look more professional, it helps your audience know what to look for and where.
Will Rumley, the winner of the 2016 Aportfolio Scholars, has an Aportfolio that exemplifies organizing in a predictable way. He uses the same formula for each page within his sections. It is easy for viewers to find their way around his portfolio. It also looks professional and intentional.
You should choose up to three fonts to use throughout your Aportfolio: one for headings, one for subheadings or text boxes, and one for paragraphs. Also keep in mind that your reader may have an easier time reading size 14 fonts in the paragraph rather than size 12.
